Hi
Recently I bought a Acer 5920 laptop
I have installed Redhat Enterprise linux.
Acer is not ready to provide drivers for linux.
I cannot find a suitable driver for the ethernet card
Broadcom Netlink(TM).
I find the driver is inactive and when I try to activate it
I am getting tg3 doesnot seem to be present.
I tried with all the drivers available in Broadcom and Acer sites like BCM4400,tg-3.85l,tg-3.92e, but in vain.
If your laptop has a PC card slot, you can buy a D-Link Ethernet card. The chipsets used by D-Link are usually well supported by most versions of the Linux kernel.
