No data sent in Pegasis.out (NS2)
Hi all,
I was wondering did anyone try running PEGASIS simulation on NS-2.34? I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and I tried running it with the LEACH+PEGASIS patch from exidus, but the pegasis output does not seem right, although the leach output seems fine. As seen there is not data sent and the nodes alive stays 10 (used only 10 nodes) with energy still intact. Any input/thoughts are appreciated, thanks! Code:

Hi knudfl,
Saw your attached pegasis.out, it generates similar output to mine as the data is still 0 and energy is unchanged. Read several posts about this, turns out there is an issue with the sending function in the ns-bsapp.tcl.. do you mind explaining the difference between ns-bsapp_1.tcl, ns-bsapp_2.tcl and ns-bsapp.tcl? Maybe if I can tweak the function it will generate an accurate output. Code:
At 3220: - mit/uAMPS/stats.tcl I tried using ns-bsapp_2.tcl instead of ns-bsapp.tcl, and the output looks similar to leach. Do you have any idea whether this output is correct or not? Code:
At 240: - mit/uAMPS/stats.tcl |

Ref. post #6.
Pegasis + leach by @exidus, first time announced `16 May 2013', #289 here http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...68/page20.html ... was mostly used to get a usable leach and leach-c. Tested here with 1) Ubuntu`s 10.04, 10.10, 12.04 etc. I guess the best Ubuntu results were with Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 . 2) PCLinuxOS 2012.08, 2013.04, .. etc. 3) CentOS 5.x, CentOS 6.x 4) Other OS ? As I always have 60 ... 100 OS's installed, you can still get the output results. But I doubt that particularly "pegasis.out" would be better than your result. - |
I tested with ubuntu 10.04 and CentOS 6.6

Re #9.
The Pegasis simulation command is : $ export RCA_LIBRARY=/home/<name>/ns-allinone-2.34/ns-2.34/mit/rca && export uAMPS_LIBRARY=/home/<name>/ns-allinone-2.34/ns-2.34/mit/uAMPS && ./test |
