NIS setup


Hi All,

Can anyone please help me in setting up Network Information Service (NIS), i need to set up on my VMWARE machine, & i have the following binaries :_


1. ypserv-2.18.tar.bz2
2. ypbind-mt-1.10.tar.bz2

My Redhat Linu details:-

cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.0 ( Santiago)

cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.32-71.e16.i686 gcc version 4.4.4

Ok...we'll be glad to help...so tell us what you've done so far, and where you're having a problem. If you're looking for step-by-step directions, start with Google or Red Hat's website...they have them. Amazingly, putting "rhel6 nis howto" into Google pulls up:
