NIC wont work

I cant get my NIC to work in Mandrake 9.0. I always get the message about "Unable to determine IP information eth0 failed....", the card does show up in Hard Drake. The card is a Cnet PRO200. Any ideas anyone?

Welcome to LQ, HJG.

A quick google.com/linux for your card shows that it is supported, and it used the tulip module. Try opening up a terminal (the thing that looks like the ol' Windows DOS box) and changing to root (su root), then typing modprobe tulip. If this works, then post back...
