NIC drivers for Mandrake 9.1

Having issuse installing Mandrake on an Asus P4S533-VM mother board (everything on board to include NIC). Once the install is complete Mandrake cannot initalize the NIC.....fails everytime. Is there one "catch all" setting anyone has ran across that runs most NIC's? If not...any suggestions??

Thanks,

Chris

You may want to check Mandrake's website to see initially if your card is even supported under linux. I have a few pieces of hardware that are not.

Resolved issue....

After many hours of trying this...and trying that.....I found the PNP OS setting needs to be off or disabled in the BIOS. The NIC is now found during the boot process.
