newbie trying to install pci wireless card
 
I am trying to install the ralink driver for edimax pci wireless card drv rt61 and when i get to make all i get a error 2 when i type uname -rm it says i have kernel 2.6.20-2925.9.fc7xen i686 can anyone walk me through the process or point me to a help sight or something. I am very new at this as in just started I have fedora7 Moonshine. thanks in advance. maybe some day I can helpsome one.

first, you should tell us exactly what error you are getting.....

"ralink fedora" gives a bunch of hits in Google. A quick scan suggests that the solutions are there. I noted that "ralink" seems to be the name of a line of wireless cards.

"edimax linux fedora" also gives many hits. The first one speaks of success!!

It was my belief that the rt61 driver was already built into Fedora 7, it certainly is in Fedora 8.

You could try:

/sbin/lsmod |grep rt
from a terminal and see if it is. It could save you a lot of trouble.
