Newbie Seeks Help with MTU Settings? (SUSE 10)

Hi there,

I've just installed SUSE 10 and have made a network connection direct to my wireless router using an ethernet cable.

I can view certain web pages (such as the BBC web page), but come unstuck when I attempt to register SUSE 10 on the Novell web site. I'm also unable to access https pages. :-(

Please advise what I need to do in order to configure my web access. Do I need to set up an ADSL router config, or can I just modify the MTU setting provided by ifconfig?

linux:/sbin # ifconfig

All suggestions gratefully received.

Many thanks, Rob

P.S. My ISP MTU setting on the router is 1400.

No problems. I found where I can modify the setting using YaST - Network Devices - Network Card. It was buried in there!
