newbie on help for cd.
i am using mandrke 10.0 KDE.
may i clear my doubt? i have one cdrw.that has some read error. how to find the location where the read error has occured.. if i fond the location of error.and then how to omit that location while copy to harddisk. and how to copy the cd from 200MB to 550MB. i mean copy the data from mid of the cd? help me.. |
If I understand you correctly, everything you need to know is in the dd man page. You'll see how to skip a part of the input (or output), as well as how to copy only part of the input. But more importantly, you'll see how to ignore read errors: conv=noerror
I hope this helps. Yves. |
