Connected to a JetDirect print server with an IP of 172.20.20.76: lpadmin -p "JetDirect" -E -v socket://172.20.20.76 -m 4. Accessible to all users:lpadmin -p printer -u allow:all All feedback is welcomed thanks in advance |
Uhm
How about you first give it a try, post the code from your attempts here and then we can talk about it. You can't seriously expect people to do your homework for you.

Hello Fwill, welcome to LQ,
you're posting from a Windows-computer. Don't you have a Linux-computer? you'd be better off to install Linux (dualboot or in a virtual machine) and try the commands by yourself. Markus |
Some web sites are funny about home-work.
LQ does not do the home-work thing. It is against forum rules. So the route to go is probably to ask about an overveiw or something. Going though the material in a algorithmic way only benefits you if you do it yourself. LQ is very prolific but no home-work section. It's not their bag but other sites actually have these forums. Do a web search of Unix and Linux (forums) and the most obvious links are your best bet to find (home-work) threads. Edit: scratch the Linux search and just do the Unix search.Another edit: I really did not mean "funny ha ha". LQ has mostly a zero tolerance for home-work questions so if it even reassembles it or is close to a hm question , it is out of bounds. I think it adds a lot more overhead for the moderators and in principle LQ does not agree with it either. Good luck with your class!
