newbie.. needs help configuring dell latitude cpx graphic car/monitor on SUSE 10
Hello,
I recently install SUSE OSS Linux v10.0 on my Dell latitude CPx J series laptop. The complete installation went fine and while installation i didnt cared much about the hardware thats being selected by the installation as i am a complete newbie. Now, i get a max. resolution of 800x600 and even the card that is selected by SUSE is wrong. My original card is ATI 3D Rage P/M Mobility AGP 2x with 8MB Memory(this is what i found out from BIOS) where as SUSE selected ATI Mach64LM/Dell. I am not sure if this is the one suitable for my video card or not.
How can i change this? I went to YaST Control Center->Hardware and then tried to play around by selecting LCD Monitor type and change some other settings, but i never get 1024x768 resolution, always it automatically gets wide and the graphics are not seen at all. Can anybody please tell me how can i fix this???
Also, is there anyway to find out the maximum supported Horizontal and Vertical Frequencies for my laptop's LCD screen?
Thanks in advance..
