Newbie ! Jumping right in on SuSE10

Seems over whelming, should I start somewhere else and move up?I'm having trouble getting my home network (windows) printer working from my dual boot computer. Do I need samba? should I use GNOME orKDE? My printer is a USB off my XP office computer, the other computer is running Win2000.

marcusclemens - not only is it not allowed, but basic courtesy would dictate that you don't hijack someone's thread like this. No more job ads and no more hijacking. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to Linuxquestions.

You should go for KDE for a start. Make sure that your computer has alot of ram, because KDE is pretty ressourcedemanding.
I can also recommend Gnome, it runs lighter but in my opinion it is s little 'harder' to configure than KDE.

For a printersetup, check this out: (section called 'printer operation')

The chapter is from the Reference guide. There is also a Startup guide. Both can be found here:

Have fun :)
