newbie in need of help


is there anyone who has the patience to work with me about installing programs like Firefox, Gaim etc on Linux, via an MSN Client (Kopete or Gaim or whatever you have) i dont think i'll be able to get it any other way

What distro you have? If you have Mandrake, follow the instructions here http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/

Then go to the package installer for mandrake, and just search for what you want.

is that to install the OS, because if it is that's not what i need. I got Mandrake 10, installed without problems, it's just installing other files. By the way, that site is very confusing to newbies

i dont think i have the right architecture, im pretty sure mine's x86 they only have x86-64. im guessing i go on linux for that, im on my winblows right now.
