Post Newbie here :) - Proxy server

My name is George, but you can call me tek,and I am newbie to every Linux release, so I am trying to learn few thinks and first step or let's say project will be setting up a Proxy server, so I choose OpenSuse the last release, and as I read that best choice will be Squid+SquidGuard+SARG.

so I install the squid and did some configuration and proxy server is working, but the problem is on squidguard and sarg ? so i tried Google already and find something but something I am still doing wrong )

my question is did I choose right combination for setting up a god proxy server ?
what I will need from that server is to monitor users and restricted some access to some sites ...

I don't see your location in your profile. Country is good enough. It might help us understand your english better.
