In particular, are you looking to self host your own e-mail and DNS? That's not exactly a newbie job, but it's still very possible if you're willing to put in some time and effort to learn how to do it. Or are you looking for a commercial provider to host these things for you?
In either case, you need to develop some requirements such as what sort of uptime you require, how many zones (for DNS), and how many mailboxes and how much overall storage (for e-mail).
