(newbie) Error Installing Packages
 

hi :(


after partitioning mandrake 9.1, it brings me to a screen whrer i have to choose the packages to install, when i selected the minimals, they prompted me with 'Error Installing Packages'.
IF i click ok to proceed, the same error follows. then it brings me back to the selection of packages screen again.
argh

how do i resolve it?

First thing to do is check the checksum on the disks, If you have download them or copied them at least. Make sure you have all the disks.

Try running the install in text mode or expert mode, and make sure that your root partitioon ( \ ) is large enough, I don't know the exact size but if you root around you will find the minimal requirements somewhere. I would recomend about 2gig, but thats just me.
