Newbie contemplates Dynebolic

My ignorance of nonWindows is vast(witness bluetooth posts this forum);
I'm climbing up Mandriva Spring currently
I opened FSF and came across Dynebolic, which is of greatinterest for its video-handling emphasis.
and I'd appreciate comments on whether I'm shooting well above realistic possibilities for one so ignorant, or whatever, and , in general, difficulties if any connected with a relatively "minor" distro.. thanks.

I just took a quick peek at the Dynebolic web site.
http://dynebolic.org/

This looks at first glance to be exactly the kind of thing that open source software can make available to people everywhere. It looks like an excellent project. It appears to be a self contained multimedia creation kit which happens to run on Linux. Evidently you don't have to be a Linux guru to use Dynebolic. It appears to be geared toward artists, not computer geeks. THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!

I suspect that Richard Stallman would approve.

Now if they have done a good job of making the technical stuff work so that you can concentrate on creating your art then they've really got a great project. Imagine having a sophisticated multimedia creation product available for free to everyone. Now you don't have to be wealthy to obtain the tools to create what your mind conceives.
