Newb needs help

I installed new Red Hat 8.0. I got a S3 SavagePro8 onboard video which is not recognized by the distro.
I tried a video driver and it did not work and now it boots to command line with no X windows/KDe startup. How do I install the right drivers and then make it boot to a GUI automatically?
Help me please!!

Check what kind of chip it uses and search google for it.
Might very well be that it works with a driver for an other card which uses the same chip.

You have a KM266 chipset..
There is a pdf available with only 3 instructions to follow to get it working. This will work.
