Unhappy New User of Linux, KDE

My nephew sent me a laptop with a Linux operating system. I use Firefox for Internet and Facebook. However, I am having trouble with other functions like putting things on panel. I seem to have lost the original panel. How do I get bookmarks up there again? I can see there is a learning curve I must master. I would appreciate any suggestions you have on getting the necessary information on key functions.

Welcome to LQ.

Kooru's suggestion is a good one. The Intro forum is not a good place to ask a question.

Remember that the more information you provide, the easier it will be for others to help you. This article should help you plan your post.

The Mozilla site is a good source of information. The version of firefox might be important also.
