New Ubuntu installed, no music ....

:newbie:

I am brand new to Linux and have just installed Ubuntu on a tired old Dell Latitude laptop. I love the package and want try and keep it. However, the wireless network continually cuts out on me and making me spit teeth with frustration. Is this because my network card isn't compatible with Ubuntu? I also have a problem in that I cannot upload any photos onto social networking sites or listen to my playlists on Last.fm. In fact I can't even play any track on LFM or any of my other playlists.
Do I need to download a Flash Player? Can you suggest a good one?

Keep the answers simple please I am a computer nitwit and get all glazy eyed with tehno terms....sorry :o

Regards
fuschia

See the Adobe website for a flash player; you will need to run the installer script as 'root':

sudo whatever_flash_installer_script

or use this with caution...

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
