New to Ubuntu need wireless connection help on HP Pavilion 1030
I just downloaded and Installed Ubuntu 10.04. I have never used any Linux OS before, I am dual booting with windows. I can not get Linux to find my Wireless network adapter so I can connect to the internet. What information do I need to set this up?

At x-ubuntu 10.04 there is the icon of two monitors at the taskbar that was developed to show two computers connected. That is "nm-applet" and there is found "nm-connection-editor". Both can be also invoked by typing these names at a linux "cmd.exe" called "xterm".
(But at *-ubuntu watch out for sudo/su/root prae-command!) Your ls* (list/list segments) show that there is detected something and kernel-modules are loaded: Quote:
( #/$ sudo lsusb ( lsusb -a (all) -l (for rights)) #/$ sudo modprobe usbserial) But what about the router ? |
If I understand what you are asking, I have a built in Ethernet card, and a built in Wireless N card.
