New to linux - can I share calendars with Microsoft Outlook

HI I have just started trying Ubuntu - I have Outlook installed on both PC's in my 2 shops and on my laptop which uses XP. I synchronise my Treo 750 as well as another XDA for one of the install guys from the shop. We run a program that syncs all the folders and it works great - everybody knows whats going on at all times. Question is can I sync Ubuntu with this system?? The program we use to sync is called OSA-SYNC and works great. Any advice would be welcome.

Basically, you can afaik sync your treo with linux.
Now, I use www.plaxo.com .... I have an AIM account, so I use the basic versin for free - there is a professional version as well. With that, you can sync contacts and calendars on multiple platforms ... I have Linux and mac os x. besides, I think you can even use it from your treo when your on the run, so when omebody changes something in your calendar, you will be able to access the latest/newest data ...

Hope that helps.

Sorry, got it wrong, OSA-SYNC will only run with outlook, so you will not be able to use it natively on linux, sorry.

However, you might want to give crossover office a try. They have a trial version, so go for it! I don't want to start a holy war, but crossover office is a windows emulator, which runs pretty fast on recent systems, and allows you to run ms office and other windows software on linux.

Just a thought, I do not know how the ftp sync works, maybe that could be done natively, but I would need more info on how they sync, if it is a pst file, then we are out of luck, as pst files are proprietary and linux programs don't like them and prefer the standard mbox files - which work with almost "any" email client ...

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but you could check this document out.

It's about a product called Zimbra which is very flexible and has (by all reports) a great calender scheme.
