new motherboard simple mempis 7.0

I just installed a new motherboard and mepis 7.0 will not boot run or anything else how do I install the drivers that came with the new motherboard if I cannot load mempis . It is an asus m2a-vm hdmi , AMD processor , there are drivers for linux on the cd ?

Do you have the Simply Mempis CD?

Do you have your BIOS configured to boot from CD first (then hard drive)?

Does booting from CD (either in "standalone demo" and/or "install/rescue" modes) work?

yes bios , set to boot from cd , yes have cd , no will not boot no matter how i try to boot .

cd does boot when installed in a different pc .

Hi -

The point is, you should generally be able to boot to *something* (regardless of which mobo-specific drivers you might have).

I appreciate the direction I will try the info from the links . It figures I would be one of the many who bought the board that is not friendly with Linux . I guess this is were I will start to learn .
