New install - configure my computer missing

I have installed mandrake 9.2 on a machine all ready which works.

I've just installed it on a second machine and have lost the "configure my computer" menu.

Also only 1 of the 3 install discs was used by the install program. The other machine used all 3.

I've tried update-menus -v

The machine only has 64Mb of memory do I need more?

Thanks

mandrake is an rpm oriented system right ???

on both machines issue the following command

rpm -qa

that will pront all installed programs,
i am guessing that one machine will have many things installed that the other one does not...

did you select the same installation ype for both install's ?

i dont know mandrake, but redhat has the options to do all kinds of different installs.

It probably found limited resources and installed only basic packages. Run 'rpm -qa|grep drake' on both machines. The machine you have problem with probably has less. Install the rest manualy (urpmi packagename).

64MB is not enough for running Mandrake "with everything". But a configuration where you don't use KDE and GNOME (64MB of memory is too little for them) or just text mode, should be OK.
