new dual boot


Ok, new install.
Which do i do first, win or linux?

always do windows.. as linux you will want to overwrite the MBR to dual boot.. plus windows will automatically write over the MBR without asking you...

Although I find it easier to use the Linux install disks to partition the disk first. Then install windows. Then install Linux.

Alright, I did as suggested and installed win98 first, the drive was partitioned with fdisk and it is a 30gb split in half.
I am now trying to install RedHat 7.1 by booting with the CD and there seems to be some trouble partitioning with Disk Druid. It won't take the existing partion and when I try to create a new partition the only one that is working is the swap. The rest keep giving me errors about being greater than 1024, and then the machine pukes out with an exceptional some-thing-or-other and shuts down.
Suggestions?
