New Chromebook C7 Acer
I received my Chromebook through my work as a gift in Christmas. I was starting it up and I was setting it for the first time but it just turned off on me could it be that something is wrong with it through the company of the maker or can I check if the Chromebook has warranty?

Your chromebook should be under warranty. Check through who ever procured it through your workplace.
I charged the battery up on my Acer C710 netbook for 10 hours before I turned it on. I did not want to take any chances in case the battery was fully discharged and try turning it on that way. |
I would guess that the battery is dead after sitting so long. That's a very old chromebook, and hasn't been produced in several years. Try charging the battery for an hour or so and see if it will hold a charge.

If you get it fired up, In a blank address tab. Type in

vendor_id : GenuineIntel mine is a older model than sgosnell Chromebook. You can find your ram specs also in there plus powerwash (how many times the operating system was reset to a default state), plus other info on your new christmas present like power_supply_info. On the underside of your netbook may be a white tag with a barcode. It will have the model number and date manufactured on the top line. Mine is 2013. Good Luck. |
I have an Acer C720p chromebook. A while ago, it started radndomly crashing and rebooting. I opened the case up on a hunch (my warranty was already void) and the connector between the battery and the motherboard was slightly crooked. I unplugged it and plugged it back in all the way, and I haven't had an issue since.
From what you said in your first post, this might not be your issue, but I thought I'd throw it out here anyway. Fun fact: The Chromebooks (or at least my model) get such great battery life because the battery takes up half of the inside. (No, I'm not exaggerating. If anything, it takes up more than half.) |
