networking with XP
 

Wow do I need some hand holding... I am trying to work with RH 8.0 and network (file sharing/ print sharing/Linus box route the Internet).

I guess I am overwhelmed... anyone got a easy step by step explaination... I think I have read about too many options...

please help...

You will need to make sure Samba is installed and running on you RH box, so you can share data/devices between *nix and Windows. Also, to make things easier, when you set up networking on your RH box, you should use the same domain/workgroup name as you have on your XP box (if you haven't set anything yet, the default workgroup name is WORKGROUP or MSHOME, depending on your OS version).
If you post some more specifics, it might be easier to help.

THis could get tricky, especially with WIndoze XP, so if you run into specific troubles, feel free to ask me. I already have things set up at home the way you want them set up. ;)
