Angry Networking snafu

I'm dual booting RH8 and Windblows XP. My NIC is working, I can ping loopback and my router with RH8 but it cannot get anything outside of my network. When I boot up into Gnome it prompts me that it cannot find address in /etc/hosts. I know what my DHCP address should be and what my host name is but I don't know what is wrong with my hosts file. Can anybody help me?

You might want to post a copy of your /etc/hosts file here. It normally has two lines. One with the loopback interface and the second with the NIC interface.

Shoebox is the name of my computer and that IP is what it should get from my DHCP.
