Networking in Mandrake Linux with USB Direct Connect?

Ok, the situation:
1 total newb
2 computers
1 Belkin Direct connect USB

1 of the comps is a Win XP with Direct Connect installed and working.
the other one, is a Mandrake Linux with the unit connected. i dont know if its installed or not... and i have *NO* idea how to setup this device, or get the network working.

One possible problem... the device creates an Emulated network card that the Direct connect uses.

any ideas?

More info:
The network is setup and working on XP, and i get a message about configuring a Belkin USB Direct Connect when i booted up Linux, but it tried to configure my (Real) Ethernet card, instead of the emulated card that Direct Connect needs.

any good?
