Network Shares and VNC

I have recently made my laptop a dual boot with XP and Ubuntu 9.04. Works great and appreciate the help everyone gave me doing that. My question is I want to be able to access my network shares, corporate laptop, from Ubuntu. Is this possible? Also, will VNC work in Ubuntu? I installed Wine, but haven't played with it yet, so not sure how it works. Thanks in advance.

Well, what type of Network Shares? And yes, VNC is built into Ubuntu

They are on a windows 2003 server. They are mapped drives for my file shares.

I got the network drives to work. :) Still working on getting VNC going. The RDP sessions work, for the most part, VNC I'm still trying to get configured right.
