network problem


hi, am new to this blog and also to linux in general. i installed backtrack in a vmware and am unable to set network through the network cable. any one please help

For connecting to the network via cable, you will have to create a bridge between the network card and virtual network used by the backtrack image or directly assign the nic to the virtual machine.
