network printer
 
how do i set up a network printer? the printer is on a computer using win98 and im using RH 8.0.

From memory, when you come to installing printers, you will normally be given an option as to the type of connection. If you give the connection type as network, or smb, you should then be able to give the ip address or hostname of the computer to print to.

I have use RH .0 and there is a utility called printtool that allows setup of a network printer. Maybe if there is an equivalent in RH 8 you can setup the printer.
