One querry, that how you decided that eth0 shows dynamic inet address ? What is the static IP you configured for eth0 inetface.

Aaaah! NOW I see it... I still have to FIX it, though! The first static address I gave this computer was 10.1.100.81. Then, our network administrator took that number back and gave me .204.
Interesting, I can hit the apache server by pointing my browser to 10.1.100.81! The eth0:1, (which is the active address in Network Manager) is showing 10.1.100.204.

To ensure that eth0 is active on boot check under "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0" have an entry ONBOOT=yes
and execute command "chkconfig network on" on console/teminal to make network service start-up at boot up.

I have no file called ifcfg-eth0
I do have a file named ifcfg-eth0:0
Hmmm... where should I go from here.
Thank you!
