Question network manager


hi, i am a newbie & this is my 3rd post here....

i unfortunately uninstalled my NETWORK MANAGER software.. i created a backup of my system by APT ON CD application before the uninstallation...

i cannot restore the NETWORK MANAGER just because it requires an active internet connection.... i cannot connect to the net without the software. i am using a mobile phone & a bluetooth device to connect the pc to internet...

how to fix the problem plz help.... how can i connect to the internet now..??? i have installed EDUBUNTU DESKTOP FOR UBUNTU (almost 350 mb )
ubuntu version is 10.10

If you can connect laptop to internet via phone try using synaptic
