Question Network Connection


hello!!!
Is there any other way to create an xdsl connection in fedora.....rather then going to network connections????
bcoz as soon as i open my network connections my screen gets crowded wid multiple windows wid sum sort of countdown goin on!!!......n then a box to terminate the program or keep continuing appears!!!
i have no other choice but to terminate it!!!
so...wat must i do now to set up and activate my xdsl connection????
plzz help!!!
