Network Card Issue in RHEL 5 on X86 PC


Frnds,
I hav Zenith x86 PC With Integreted rtl 8139/810x FE NIC. I hav Installed RHEL 5 But IT cant activate NIC shows Device doesnt exist Delaying Initialization . It shows e100 Module . NIC listed in Haradware list. BUT when I run ifconfig it shows only loopback interface pls help me I am doing this since last 6 months.

Please write and spell clearly.

If you're using the e100 module, is it loaded? ("lsmod | grep e100" to find out).

But since you're using RHEL, I would suggest you call them for support, since you're paying for it. If you're not paying for support, load CentOS. And if you've been trying to get a network card running for six months, have you tried Google, or asked someone else for help?? This is a very simple task...a quick Google search turns up:

insmod command can help you inserting module in kernel. man for the command for full documentation or google on how to use the command.
