Question Network Bandwidth monitoring tool

hi guys,

Don't know if I'm posting this threat on the correct forum but since I'm a newbie might as well.
I'm looking for a good graphical Network Bandwidth monitoring tool.
I will appreciate any advice.
Thanks!

You may not be aware that Google has topic-specific search engines: among them is www.google.com/linux (on the google page, click on Advanced Search and scroll down to the bottom of the page for a list of topic-specific search engines).

The topic-specific search engine filters out about 99% of un-related topics.

So, on the Linux-specific page, search for 'network bandwidth monitor'.

I like "IPTRAF" at the command line

Hi John,

I downloaded iptraf but when I tried running the Setup i get this error message:

=====================================================================
IPTraf Version Setup
Target Platform: Linux/i686
---------------------------------------------------------------------

*** ERROR: Unable to locate source files.
*** If this is a binary-only distribution of IPTraf, try running /opt/iptraf-3.0.0/Setup
again without -c.

*** /opt/iptraf-3.0.0/Setup exiting with error code 1

hope you could help.
thanks

I'm sorry, I just did apt-get install iptraf and it came down and started working. If I do
Code:
IPTRAF SETUP
it ignores the setup and goes right into iptraf and then I arrow down to configure and do the setup from there. Not an IPTRAF gure. Just playing with it to see what it will do.
