netscape freeze

would anyone please tell me what may cause netscape to freeze while I try to open a website.
I am using mandrake 8.0
what can I do to unfreeze the browser beside this command
kill -9 $(pidof X)

How much memory do you have? There are known problems with netscape and a bug in it which causes it to ask for more and more memory.

I would suggest that you change browsers if you can, use konqueror or opera if possible.

Probably not much, but there is a newer version of Netscape just out, give it a try.

As for me, I use Konq. Works great, mostly...
