Netmask resets to gateway address
Running fc10. Why is it the the netmask is the same as the gateway in the network dialog box in GNOME. I try to reset it to 255.255.255.0 and when I go back and check it it has copied the gateway address. Is there a problem in GNOME admin tools? Any suggestions.
I reset it in terminal window as root and that seemed to work. Whats up with that? Thanks, Ron |

Netmask resets to gateway address
I my original post I neglected to say I have another rack server which does not have the netmask reseting problem. I re-installed fc10 in the resetting and that did not take of the problem. Any other suggestions?

Hi rcmonroig,
I think it would be helpful if you post your complete ip-configuration here. At least the output of ifconfig and the configuration for your networkinterface. Markus |
