Net Install of Debian ETCH stops installing software at 8%

I am trying to install DEBIAN ETCH using a net install disk but the software installation stops at 8%. I successfully installed LENNY using a NET install disk on the same computer. Since ETCH is an older version does DEBIAN turn off the net install files for older versions?

Why do you want to install etch when lenny is the current "stable" release? Is etch still supported? Why not stick with lenny?
cheers,

If you must have etch, have you tried installing using etch CD 1 or DVD 1 ?

then check the sources.list to ensure it points at etch and not stable..

I too would use Lenny, rather than etch, but I guess there could be extenuating circumstances..

There are a couple other options you might want to look at as well..

Hosting Control Panel Comparison..
http://www.isp-control.net/documenta...out/comparsion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control_Panel_(Web_Hosting)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...control_panels

I did view one parallels forum post, where people where rather annoyed with Plesk that it is taking them so long to add support for Debian 5 and Ubuntu 8.10+ The one guy queried what exactly he was paying for in his licensing.. heh
