net


i am using RHEL4 BETA. i am able to connet to net using dial up modem, but while opening any page or actvating to redhat i am getting massage : "Tamporary failure in name resolution".
pl help me !!!!!!!

What do you mean by 'activating to redhat'?
What tool are you connecting with? (wvdial, ppp / pon / poff, kppp etc.)

PS Put a more representative name for your thread in future.

thanks for answer.
i am using my WLL LG phone as a modem, software to connect the net is provided by WLL Phone thats Relianceinfo. by using this i can connect to net - my ISP Relianceinfo- but then i am not able to open any web page or can't on redhat network to my account.
by using any web browser i am getting the same message "Tamporary failure in name resolution".

You have some sort of problem with the DNS (Domain Name Server). I use Debia, so I may be less helpful. Google is your friend!
