I am new to linux and by next month I am planning to appear for the rhce exam, I have been taking a course at an institute, yet I don't feel confident enugh if I can survive it.
If you don't mind, can you please helpme with some tips on how to prepare or any good book to refer.
I am not asking you the exact questions or anything, just the method or preparation for the exam, also will the labs at the end of each unit enough to be prepared.
Also I have heard a lot about Michael Jang's study guide, do you think I should study from it rather than the books provided by the institute?

Your suggestions will really help.
Thanks.
RHCE is a practical based exam, so you need to practice as much as you can, the books provided by your institute should be good enough to pass the exam but for in depth knowledge on the subject you need to look for other good books available.
Best of luck for the exam.
While awaiting some more specific replies, you may find some helpful advice in the "Certification" forum, located here: Linux Certification
And also, many interesting results are returned from LQ's search engine, located here: Advanced Search upon entering the term "how prepare for rhce exam" into the Search by Keyword field, and toggling the drop-down menu below it to read Search entire posts.
Thanks for the replies and the luck which I need the most , it really helped a lot.
I will try the Institte provided books for basic ubderstanding, as going deeper without basic knowledge will lead me nowhere, so I will try the labs at the end of each unit and some other labs.
But still I would want to know which are the main topics I can focus on, like Apache, NFS, Squid, DHCP, DNS, etc. Your views are of great help to me.
