Need some help with Shorewall and iPAQ
 

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect to my iPAQ from my Linux box using ppp0 but it appears that Shorewall is not allowing packets from the iPAQ on ppp0.

Based on the problems I'm seeing (looking at /var/log/messages) it's apparent that my firewall is blocking packets to/from the iPaq and my linux box.

I need to access ports 5678 and 5679 on the PC from the iPAQ. The PC will need to access port 990 on the iPAQ.

So, I'm trying to configure my firewall Shorewall (iptables) to accept packets on ports 5678 & 5679 from the iPaq and send packets from linux to the ipaq on port 990.

I've always preferred GuardDog over Shorewall. There's a great tutorial in the help pages too.
