Need some help installing my USB gamepad

OK, I just bought a cheap USB gamepad at EB for 5$, and I went home to install it. It has no drivers, it's automatically detected by Windows, and works fine. But, when I boot to Linux, Linux doesn't know what to do with it. Here's what Mandrake Control Center says:

Vendor: ‎Unknown

Bus: ‎USB

Description: ‎USB GamePad STD.

Module: ‎unknown

Media class: ‎Human Interface Devices|No Subclass|None

So I'm a little bit lost. Is there something else that I need to do to get the gamepad to work? How would I load a module so that it can recognize it? Thank you in advance.
