Need some help in learning clusters.

Hi LQ Folks,

I'd like to start learning clusters. I heard there are different clusters like redhat cluster,hp company specific cluster..etc.

Can someone help me with..

1. Where can i get the basics of clustering?
2. What are the different clusters available & which is the best one?
3. Where can i get in-depth explanation of clusters.

You can suggest me some reference links, if you have.

Thanks,
Ravi

Hello,

What you ask is a very big thing, there are so many different clusters available. It all depends on what you want to learn or what interests you. Have a look at this WikiPedia page, it contains one basis from where you can start your investigation. The more specific your answer are the more complete will the answers be.

Kind regards,

Eric

Thanks for the reply hacker(EricTRA). :)
I'd like to start with redhat cluster. As our Organization use Redhat machines mostly.

Hi,

If you want to stick with Red Hat then the best place to start is the Red Hat documentation which is pretty complete. It's the best place to start in my opinion since Red Hat does do things different in a lot of ways although the principles and technologies are the same or similar. Have a look at this for starters.

Kind regards,

Eric
