Unhappy Need "kernal-source"....

ugg.. ok so i downloaded the IA36 nvidia driver and got it going and then it says it needs the "kernal-Source" to compile an install or something along those lines.. why cant it be a simple .rpm i can double click like the other things i have downloaded.. so if any one can tell me where to download the kernal-source it would be great! thanks..

Welcome to LQ

Actually it is a simple RPM you can click on It's on your install CD's:
linux-source-version.rpm
OR
kernel-source-version.rpm

To find out which one to install, you'll need to know which version you are running, so, type:
uname -r
And it should tell you.

HTH

Cool
