Need instruction's on setting up wireless modem.

Installed new wireless modem and router and need help in how to connect it too my Ubuntu operating system. So far I can only find a place to enter information but don't know where to find it. It asks for "SSID"-"Mode Infrastructure"-"BSSID"- "Device Mac Address
"Cloned Mac Address" and "MTU Automatic". I have no idea where to find this information or if I am even in the right window to setup this new modem. Any help will most certainly be appreciated! Thanks to All! Richard

These instructions are for Ubuntu 8.04, but they really haven't changed because they relate to how wireless works, not to how Ubuntu works.

https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/interne...onnecting.html

Usually, all you need to enter is the SSID (That's the network name as created in the wireless router or access point) and the key (that's the password you have configured for the wireless security.

If you did not set up the security, do so.
