Need help with installing firefox

Hi, after I downloaded firefox 3.1 and unzip the tar ball, I ran ./firefox inside the directory of firefox, but it always produces an error like this:
./run-mozilla.sh: line 166: ./firefox-bin: cannot execute binary file

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Chmod +x run-mozilla.sh

Thanks for your help but the command doesn't work, I still get the same error message whenever I type ./firefox. Any other ideas?

Lots of the programs you run actually are shell scripts. It may be that the binaries you have are corrupt in some way so they can't be loaded.

Try to download the .tar.gz and proceed with the installation.That will save your time.
Which Distros you are using?I will help you in finding the right RPM for the same.
