Unhappy Need Help with GRUB on Dual Boot

I had windows Xp and redhat 7.3 simultanesously running on my PC. but my xp crashed and i had to reinstall it. after i did that whenever i tried to log into linux by selecting it from the boot choices that apperas when my machin boots up( i think it's the xp boot loader)...i get to the GRUB prompt and i don't know how to start up linux from there. however i am able to start linux when i boot through the linux boot disk. please tell me how to correct this problem. i have installed the kernel in /dev/hda3 partition.

for linux, boot woudl probably be:

Code:
kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda3 devfs=mount
boot
for windows:
Code:
 root (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
boot
replace the numbers with the correct location of drives, etc

fix your grub accordingly afterwards
