Need help with display settings

Hi there,

I just installed the 64 bit version of Fedora Core 4 on my machine ( Athlon X2 3800+, geforce 6600 gt, LG Flatron L1730S ) and I am unable to change my resolution to anything higher than 800x600. When I go to settings -> display
I can't select anything higher than 800x600 and when I got to Hardware -> Monitor Type -> Configure, I can't choose a monitor type because the OK button is always in an unpressable state ( Cancel is the only clickable button ). If someone out there has any ideas, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I tried editing xorg.conf manually and I was then able to change the resolution but now my display is buggy. Some windows are full of unreadable multicolored mayhem!!! Guess I'll have to stick with windows on this machine for now!

Did you install the nvidia drivers? You can manually set up your monitor in xorg.conf as well if you know the specs.

I tried setting up the monitor manually with settings from the LG website and then my display went to hell! I didn't install any drivers for the graphics card. I'll google for them.

I believe the monitor will play nice once you install the nvidia dirvers.
