Need help to install Bind
 
Hi ,

I'm a new linux user and i want to set up DNS server ,when i try to install the first Bind packge: bind-9.2.4-2.i386.rpm
bind-chroot-9.2.4-2.i386.rpm
bind-utils-9.2.4-2.i386.rpm
caching-nameserver-7.3-3.noarch.rpm .

i get the out out :

libdns.so.16 is needed by bind-9.2.4-2.i386
libisc.so.7 is needed by bind-9.2.4-2.i386

I don't know if i have to download all those files or there is package wich include all ?

Tell us which distribution you are using. Nearly all the modern ones come with a pkg mgr. Use that, don't try to install stuff manually.

I am using RHEL 5 distribution ,i don't have the installation number so i couldn't update my software ,thus i have to install packages manualy .
